Level 1 NIBAS

NICAS Bouldering (previously known as NIBAS) is the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme for bouldering.

It is a nationally recognised coaching scheme with 5 progressive levels, designed to create competent, confident, and independent boulderers. Sessions are suitable for those aged 7+.

We have a team of qualified, dedicated coaches and instructors at Depot Sheffield who are experts in bouldering; with years of experience running classes, you can be sure your child will not only become a competent climber, but they will love the journey too.

Level 1:

New Boulderer: This entry-level award is an introduction to bouldering movement and terminology, as well as safety and etiquette. Level 1 takes an average of 6 weekly sessions to complete.

Level 1-3:

£11 per child - 1-hour classes per week | £66 per child - 6-week block of 1-hour classes per week

There is an initial £9 registration fee for those new to the NICAS scheme. This covers the setup cost of a new participant, and as part of the registration fee, participants receive a logbook and folder.
