NICAS 3

NICAS Climbing is the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme for roped climbing.

It is a nationally recognised coaching scheme with 5 progressive levels, designed to create competent, confident, and independent climbers. Sessions are suitable for those aged 7+.

We have a team of qualified, dedicated coaches and instructors at Big Depot who are experts in climbing; with years of experience running classes, you can be sure your child will not only become a competent climber but will also love the journey too.

Level 3:

Technical Climber

A more advanced top roping and bouldering level that focuses on developing technique and movement skills.

Classes are £16 per class, and a 1 off £9 NICAS Registration fee is required for Levels 1-3. This covers the cost of registering with NICAS and all relevant logbooks for the course.

Term-time NICAS bookings are made in block bookings.

During the school holidays, we offer NICAS drop-in sessions that provide a great opportunity for new climbers to enjoy a taster of what to expect in a full NICAS term. These sessions are also ideal for existing NICAS candidates to continue progressing through their levels and updating their logbooks.
