NICAS Drop In
NICAS is the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme, a nationally recognised program of progression through the fundamentals of climbing competency aimed at building confident young climbers. Outside of school term time, we offer drop-in sessions for top-ups to term-time block bookings, or if you are looking to give it a try commitment-free, these drop-in NICAS sessions could be for your child.
NICAS Climbing is the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme for roped climbing.
It is a nationally recognised coaching scheme with 5 progressive levels, designed to create competent, confident, and independent boulderers. Sessions are suitable for those aged 7+.
We have a team of qualified, dedicated coaches and instructors at Big Depot who are experts in climbing; with years of experience running classes, you can be sure your child will not only become a competent climber but will also love the journey too.
Our NICAS Climbing classes are usually booked as term-time blocks, but during the school holidays we open up to offering drop-in, single booking sessions. Perfect for testing the waters of a certified national climbing award scheme, or topping up the term-time blocks.
